Journeys/Trekking:
Our river trips are done either by canoe or raft. All rivers are
easy or of moderate difficulties and everybody, fit and in good health and
willing to live the simple life of a wilderness traveller can participate.
Many of the river journeys include one or more day hikes. No previous experience
is necessary. Hiking/Trekking: Hiking along established trails or hiking from a Base Camp are a more leisurely way to discover Alaska's wilderness than backpacking or trekking. |

| Photography and Location Scouting: Our trips offer excellent opportunities for nature photography. ALASKA WILDTREK is owned and operated by Chlaus Lotscher, who also works as a professional nature photographer. His pictures appear regularly in many publications worldwide. With his experience ALASKA WILDTREK also offers location scouting and guiding for photographers, videographers and filmmakers. |

| ALASKA
WILDTREK
was founded by Chlaus Lotscher
who moved to Alaska from his native Switzerland permanently in 1980. His
first visit however was back in 1968, when he came to climb mountains. In
1972 he was a member of an archaeological research team working on excavations
on Saint Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea. Many visits followed. Chlaus
and his guides are happy to share their extensive knowledge about Alaska
with the guests and hope to give each one a deeper understanding of and
an appreciation for Alaska and its natural lands.
